Fleet maintenance software for Canadian carriers

Every truck and trailer, serviced on schedule.

RigMD schedules each unit’s service by days and kilometres, collects trip inspections from your drivers, runs the shop’s work orders, and warns you before a CVIP, a registration or an IRP cab card runs out. TruckerPro builds it in Winnipeg for carriers across Canada, as part of the TruckerPro TMS.

Built around the unit

What every truck and trailer needs on file

Everyone who touches a unit, from the driver to the mechanic to the safety manager, adds to the same file.

A file for each unit

Every truck and trailer has its own record, service history and document hub. A truck’s odometer is fed by a Motive, Samsara or Radical ELD, by closed work orders or by a quick manual entry, in kilometres or miles as you set it for that truck.

Service before it is late

Build PM schedules by days, by kilometres, or both. Every day RigMD separates what is coming due from what is already overdue and sends the shop one email digest.

Ready when the auditor calls

When a facility auditor, your insurer or a buyer wants a unit’s file, export its service history to Excel and download its documents as a single ZIP instead of pulling folders out of a cabinet.

A defect, start to finish

From the driver’s walk-around to a truck back on the road

A typical Pro-plan repair, step by step.

  1. 1

    Trip inspection

In the TruckerPro Driver app, the driver works down a checklist based on Schedule 1 items and rates each one OK, minor or major. Notes, the odometer and the GPS location are saved with it.

  2. 2

    Held for review

If your company has switched on out-of-service blocking, a major defect keeps the unit out of service until a supervisor releases it.

  3. 3

    Repair assigned

The shop lead creates a work order with a lead mechanic and any helpers. The lead hears about it by text and email, accepts, and starts a labour timer.

  4. 4

    Released to dispatch

Completing the work order totals parts and labour, puts the truck back on the dispatch board and sends the driver a back-in-service email.

Built for Canadian carriers

Set up around a Canadian safety file

TruckerPro builds trucking software in Winnipeg, and RigMD is organized around the records a Canadian carrier already keeps, from trip inspection reports to periodic inspections and cab cards.

  • Trip inspection checklist based on National Safety Code Schedule 1 items, with every item rated OK, minor or major
  • Daily alerts before a CVIP or other periodic inspection, registration, IRP cab card, insurance policy or permit expires
  • Each truck’s odometer kept in kilometres or miles, with ELD readings converted to match
  • Due-soon warnings 500 km or 14 days ahead by default, for trucks kept in kilometres
  • On Premium, the Quebec SAAQ forms for PM inspections: 6609A for trucks, 6648A for trailers, each printable as a PDF

Part of TruckerPro

One set of records for dispatch, drivers and the shop

RigMD works inside the TruckerPro TMS for trucking companies. Accounts are hosted at tms.truckerpro.ca, which means the units your dispatchers plan loads on are the same units your drivers inspect and your mechanics repair.

Begin with maintenance. Dispatch, driver files and settlements can join the same account later; just tell us when you are ready.

  • A shared unit list

Dispatch already works from these truck and trailer records, so a truck held for repair shows on the board.

  • The app drivers already have

Trip inspections are done in the TruckerPro Driver app, the same app drivers use for their loads.

  • Odometers from the ELD

With Motive, Samsara or Radical connected, distance-based PM stays current, converted to each truck’s own unit.

Questions, answered

In short, what is RigMD?

Maintenance software for trucking fleets. It gives every truck and trailer a record, plans PM by days and by kilometres or miles, brings in trip inspections from the TruckerPro Driver app and, on the higher plans, runs work orders and keeps track of parts, tires, warranties and spending. RigMD sits on the TruckerPro TMS.

What does it cost in Canada?

Each plan has a price per truck or trailer, per month, in Canadian dollars before applicable taxes. The pricing page sets out Starter, Pro and Premium with a full feature comparison.

How do we get started?

Send the request form on the contact page or phone us. Once the TruckerPro team has agreed the plan with you, it switches RigMD on for your company at tms.truckerpro.ca. Nothing needs to be installed.

Can trucks be tracked in kilometres?

Yes. Each truck is set to kilometres or miles on its truck form. ELD readings are converted to that unit, and the truck’s PM intervals and due-soon margin count in it, so a truck kept in kilometres shows a service as due soon 500 km or 14 days ahead by default.

Does it handle CVIP and the Quebec forms?

RigMD sends daily renewal alerts for periodic inspections such as CVIP, as well as for registrations, cab cards, insurance and permits. On Premium, mechanics can record a PM inspection on the SAAQ forms 6609A and 6648A and print it as a PDF.

What do mechanics work in?

The web app, in any phone or computer browser. Under the Mechanic role they see only their own work orders, where labour timers and before and after pictures live, and repair costs stay out of view.

Keep every unit road-ready.

Tell us about your fleet and we will set up your RigMD account.
