A record per unit
Trailers have files of their own, separate from the trucks that pull them, so TR-412’s registration is never buried in a tractor’s folder.
Fleet maintenance from $2 CAD per vehicle a month, billed annually.

Each truck and trailer gets one file with its documents and service history. Trucks also carry a live odometer in kilometres or miles, and a daily alert goes out before a periodic inspection, registration, insurance policy, permit or IRP cab card lapses.

Renewal alert: periodic inspection
Trailers have files of their own, separate from the trucks that pull them, so TR-412’s registration is never buried in a tractor’s folder.
A single current reading sits on every truck, in kilometres or miles as chosen on the truck form. The ELD, a manual entry or, on Pro, a closed work order can update it.
The vehicle’s service history exports to Excel the day an auditor, insurer or buyer asks for it.
Upload registrations, cab cards, insurance slips, permits and inspection reports to the unit, and give each one its expiry date where it has one.
Grab every file on a unit as a single ZIP, or print the lot at once. Superseded versions can be archived and restored if you need them back.
A daily check sends alerts for periodic inspections, registration, insurance, permits and IRP cab cards, whether the inspection is a CVIP in Alberta or the annual inspection in Ontario.
Standard 11 of the National Safety Code is checked in facility audits, where the auditor chooses vehicles at random and asks to see their files. Under the standard, a file identifies the vehicle, records the date and nature of each repair and maintenance job, notes the odometer at every service, and stays at your principal place of business for at least two years. Each province writes its own record rules on top of it; our maintenance records guide goes through what to keep and for how long.
For T-207, that means the full service history goes out as one Excel export, and the registration, cab card and insurance as a single ZIP or one print job. Sell the unit and the buyer receives its history, not a shoebox of receipts.
Expired paperwork has a habit of surfacing at the scale house, at the border or in the middle of a roadside inspection. RigMD looks at every unit each day and sends a renewal alert before a periodic inspection, registration, insurance policy, permit or IRP cab card runs out, whatever your province calls its inspection: CVIP, annual inspection or mechanical inspection.
Once the new cab card arrives, upload it, archive the old one, and the file is up to date. The odometer shown on the record is the reading that drives the truck’s PM schedules, so the office and the shop never argue over two different numbers. Plans are compared on the pricing page.
How it works
Set up each truck and each trailer as its own unit, with a document hub attached.
Attach cab cards, registrations, permits, insurance and inspection reports, each with its expiry date.
Connect Motive, Samsara or Radical for readings in each truck’s own unit, or type readings in.
When the daily alert flags a document, renew it, archive the old copy and keep the file current.

Yes. Service history exports to Excel, ready to send to an auditor, insurer or buyer.
For a truck set to kilometres, yes. The unit is chosen per truck on the truck form, readings from a connected ELD are converted into it, and on Pro a closed work order also updates the reading.
It goes to the archive, where you can restore it whenever you want it again.
No. Unit records, the odometer, service history export, the document hub and daily renewal alerts are all on Starter, and every higher plan keeps them. See pricing.
Service intervals in days, kilometres or both, driven by ELD odometer readings and checked every day.
Drivers check each unit in the TruckerPro Driver app against Schedule 1 items, and a major defect can hold the truck.
